SIMPLE WASHING TIPS
REDUCE THE HEAT
Make sure to refer to the provided care instructions for washing and drying your garment. The care label specifies the highest temperature for washing, but nowadays, washing machines and detergents can effectively clean clothes at lower temperatures. By reducing the temperature from 60 to 30 degrees or switching from warm to cold, you can conserve energy and resources.
AIR DRY
Ensure you refer to the provided care instructions for washing and drying your garment. The care label specifies the highest temperature for washing, but modern washing machines and detergents are capable of effectively cleaning clothes at significantly lower temperatures. By reducing the temperature from 60 to 30 degrees or switching from warm to cold, you can conserve energy and valuable resources.
REUSE AND REIMAGINE
We hope you’ll be wearing your favourite item for years to come... However, if you happen to lose interest in it, there is a high likelihood that someone else will find joy in it. Consider options such as swapping, upcycling, selling, or gifting the item to extend its lifecycle. When the item is no longer suitable for wear, make sure to dispose of it responsibly by utilizing a textile or clothing bank, enabling it to be recycled.
CUT BACK ON WASHING
According to research findings, there is evidence of excessive washing of clothes. To begin addressing this, it is advisable to question whether your garment truly requires laundering. Stains can often be effectively eliminated through spot cleaning, while freshening up clothes can be achieved by airing or hanging them in a steamy bathroom. In certain cases, a simple handwash may suffice. Opting for less frequent washing contributes to conservation of water and energy. When the time comes to load your washing machine, prioritize filling it to capacity, use detergent sparingly, and if available, select an eco-friendly mode.
Amend
Consider your clothing as a valuable investment. By taking proper care of them, you can maintain their optimal appearance for an extended period, allowing you to enjoy your favourite items more frequently and for a longer time. This, in turn, has positive environmental benefits. Instead of discarding garments when they show signs of wear, consider repairing or repurposing them.
How to Clean My Protection Gear
NO, you should not machine wash your protection!
We strongly advise against machine wash and the use of any type of chemicals or solvents; it will damage your protector and can significantly reduce the protection level.

Neck brace FAQ's
Can the Leatt neck brace prevent PURE axial loading
Pure axial loading cannot be prevented by any currently available brace. Achieving this will render an impractical device, as it would inhibit safe riding. The Leatt neck brace was designed to help reduce axial forces when acting in combination with other forces (bending moment and shear forces). This happens in most impact scenarios when the head goes into hyperextension (over-bending of the head in rearward direction) or hyperflexion (over-bending of the head in forward direction). The brace absorbs and reduces forces once the head has moved out of the original line of impact and limits excessive range of motion of the neck.
Can I wash the padding
Yes, the padding should be removed from the brace and hand-washed in a mild detergent. Please consult your brace’s user-manual for complete instructions on care instructions.
Can I use a Leatt neck brace if I have sustained previous injuries affecting my neck and/or spine
We cannot provide advice in cases of pre-existing medical conditions for several reasons. You should consult a qualified physician about the appropriate protection. We suggest you take the product information from our website to your physician consult.
Can a Leatt® GPX brace be used in a harnessed seat
No.
